A note from Tom Hicks Co-owner of AIA
You want to start flying but you're asking yourself questions like:
These are some of the questions I had just a little over a year ago when I finally decided to fly. All of my life I dreamed of being a pilot but at 20 years old with a child I could not afford the time and expense to pursue aviation. So I chose motorcycling and made a career out of it. When I was 55 I took a Discovery Flight and that was it! I started my flight lessons the next week. I asked myself all of the questions above and more and simply decided “life is too short not to” I now have my Pilot’s certificate and am soon to be Instrument rated. I’m hooked! So much so that I purchased a Flight School because of the things that I saw schools needed to improve upon. Having been, and still being, a student I appreciate what people go through to make the dream a reality and I am driven to make sure that anyone who wants to fly gets the best experience possible so they don’t miss out on years of fun and exhilaration.
Choosing to fly was one of the best decisions I ever made and that feeling, when I became a Pilot, was indescribable. Flying is beyond imagination. So if you are thinking you want to learn to fly take our Discovery Flight and I know you will discover what I did and probably kick yourself for not doing it sooner! I did! Fly because life is too short not to! Tom
